Aaron's Flag Football season

This is Aaron...the mighty football player!!!
His team, the Colts, had a great season! They went un-defeated all season. Today was the final test of who was best. They had a three game single elimination tournament in which they won the first game, exciting all around. The second game was close one! In fact, it came to a tie game!! SO...in overtime we went, excited to go on to the next game which would be The CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!! Well, apparently overtime is a little different in Little League from the real world. It's not up to who scores first, but who can gain the most yardage during their 4 downs with the ball. The other team got first shot. They had a gain of 6 yards...easy to win! We got thought for sure we are winning this one! But we got careless and overjoyed!! The guys fumbled behind the line of scrimmage, making our yardage NEGATIVE...so the boys just called it and congratulated the other team. All the parents were confused since we weren't aware of the yardage rule. We actually thought the ref just messed up and called it quits too soon. Then he explained and we all sighed and patted our kids on the back. They had a GREAT season! Coach was very proud of having an undefeated team! THEy worked very hard. So he took the team out to Chuck-A-Rama to celebrate! They had a blast! They made a new competition of who could eat the most servings, apparently. Aaron's buddy, Noah, won that one with FIVE plates of food!!! hahahah. So...The season is over and now he's bored. What ever will he do while he waits for baseball season to start?? hoh-hum!

UpDated...finally!

So..I told you I won't use this site very often. TOo many other internet communication sites to keep up with!! I guess I could start by saying it's now a YEAR later since my last post...ahem.

The kids are doing great. I'm working at WALLLLLMART as a Customer Service Manager. Basically it's the deparmemtn Manager over the cashiers and other "service stations" throughout the store. Very fun job! I love working there and have made many fun (and some interesting) friends. Felix is working in construction. He is currently "in between" jobs. The cement biz has slowed some since homes aren't being purchased as rapidly as they were 3 years ago when we moved out here. He's hoping to hook up with the companies who've bidded for the new airport job. That proves to be a loooong, steady income since the anticipate it to take 5-10 years to complete. Aaron, our oldest, is 9 now and in 4th grade. He's such a stud. Even his teacher get wooed by his dimpled smile. Caitlyn, our youngest, is 8 and is in the 3rd grade. She loves school very much because she got the "cute" teacher (And I must say he IS cute!). She always makes her hair pretty in the morning which is new this year! Should I worry that my 8 year-old daughter is dressing up for her teacher? hmmmmm. Maybe in ten years...then I'll worry. We love our neighborhood, we miss our family and friends in So. Cal. The lakes out here are beautiful, but not as grand as the ocean. Although I've adapted to the mountain desert living out here, I will always, in my heart, be a BEACH BUM!!
